Company director's income tax. Is this calculated against drawings taken from company, or against total profits for the ltd company at year end?

Hi John,
Total profits of a limited company are taxed under Corporation Tax
Drawing by a director are declared in a personal Self Assessment tax return.
Please see guidance here for further help:

Thank you.
