Hi there. Under the question where they ask about income from the UK, I do have a private pension with USS. I have however resigned and will be leaving the country to go back to Malaysia. I am not a UK resident and I am 45 years old, which means I will not be able to withdraw any money from the pension for the next 10 years. So do I state that I do have income from pension in the uk, and if so, when they ask about the annual income what do I state?

Hi,

If you pay into a penson scheme, you can declare these payment on your tax return, if you are claiming higher rate tax relief on your pension payments. If you are not in receipt of any income from the pension, then you do not need to declare the pension scheme on your tax return, as there is no taxable income from it.

Thank you.
