Hello I received a letter dated 16 September 2024, saying that I have paid too little tax for the year 6 April 2023 to 5 April 2024. And I owe HMRC £298.00. I wanted to make an online payment through my Personal Tax Account. However, it prompted me a message saying 'You can’t pay this tax here. Call us if you need help to understand what you owe.'. I was confused because I could neither make full or part of my payment online. There was an option saying that the HMRC will automatically collect the tax by increasing the tax deducted from my wages in equal instalments for 12 months from next April. But I don't want to wait until next tax year. How should I resolve this matter so that I could make the full payment rightaway? Thank you.
