Confirmation of state pension received in tax year

Will I be able to obtain proof from DWP of the actual monetary amount received in any tax year which will be accepted by HMRC? I have provided HMRC with my bank receipts which is significantly less than the records they hold from DWP. THEY have not accepted this as proof and have written to me advising that I obtain confirmation of the amount paid from you. Your help would be appreciated, thank you
