Transferring money from South Africa to UK

Hi, I am currently living in South Africa, I do not have a UK bank account yet. What are the implications, if any, of transferring money from my bank account in South Africa to the bank account of a relative in the UK. The relative in the UK is a pensioner, will it affect them in any way, either their pension and/or tax wise?
