Hi all, My base salary (about 49.6k) is just below the Higher Rate threshold (£50271, if I understand correctly) and thus I can earn £1000 of interest tax-free. Am I right in thinking that if I DO actually earn £1000 of interest it puts me in the higher bracket, meaning I can only earn $500 of interest tax-free? Or is your tax bracket about non-interest earnings? Thanks, Matthew
