Informing HMRC deregistering from Self Assessment

I have been on the website and completed the questionnaire and the conclusion was I do not now need to complet a return but I MUST inform HMRC. How?? I've been in circles trying to find how to do this. Help!

I have told HMRC that I am no longer self employed. I have filled in a final tax return. But HMRC have not acknowledge me. What can I do next?

If you no longer need to send a tax return
It can take up to 4 weeks to receive confirmation from us that your record has been closed.
