On advice from an IFA I setup a bare trusts for my children as they had received an inheritance. I now believe I have to complete a tax return to report the income (from dividends and interest) on those trusts. Do I report this income in the regular sections on a regular self assessment form ? Thanks for any advice you can offer.

Hi,

No. You need to complete the trust page along with the SA100. You will need to purchase 3rd party software to file.

Self Assessment commercial software suppliers

Thank you.

This is a query. I would be very thankful if you can offer any advice As I have just registered and couldn't find how to post my query. I completed an SA100 last year and I do not complete a self-assesment , (as I only have pension and ISAs and cash) . How do I report any tax generated? At the moment I have 2 bare trusts, held in Unit trusts and funds which are not above the persnal allowance
