Foreign Bank account (italy) where a Life insurance has been paid

Hi There, I opened a foreign bank where a life insurance was paid, I was one of the beneficiaries. This bank account does not have any interest, and it does not generate any income/interest. Do I have to submit a self-assessment? Thanks, Fran
