The title says it all. I couldn't claim the 2021/2022 tax relief of £312 for working from home, because I was - as a foreign resident - completely prevented from accessing any HMRC online systems. The HMRC online access is extremely difficult and near impossible for foreigners, as is well-known. By way of a miracle, I was now able to access HMRC online. So I'm wondering now - can I claim the 2021/2022 tax relief in any way? I was not allowed to work in the office large parts that year due to covid. Is there any way to claim on the self-assessment form, or elsewhere on HMRC?

Hi hlvrn,
You can submit a claim in writing by sending the details to:
HMRC PAYE & Self Assessment BX9 1AS.
As it is unlikley that any claim would now be received by 31/1/24, you will need to refer to overpayment relief in your claim
SACM12150 - Overpayment relief: Form of claims.
Thank you.

Thanks very much! Is there a particular form / template I should be using? I couldn't find a pdf form on the website you kindly linked.
