Foreign Pension and self assessment declaration

Is self assessment required to complete to declare pension received from Poland ? -Polish pensioner age 75 residing in UK since Dec 2020 on pre settlement status. -Never worked in the UK -Pension taxed in Poland and paid into polish bank account - no other form of income
