I was a civil servant in Hongkong and going to move to UK. According to UK/HONG KONG DOUBLE TAXATION AGREEMENT I needn’t to pay tax in UK. Do I need to declare the wages, lum sum and pension by self assessment?

Hi,

No.  Your employment earnings, accrued while resident in Hong Kong, are only taxable in Hong Kong.  Your pension arising from past employment and lump sum payment remain only taxable in Hong Kong.

Thank you.
