Hi, I'd created and paid tax through self-assessment in last tax year. I am no longer self-employed in this tax year but I still have some foreign income to declare. I understand that I have to stop my self-employed status and continue to report for the foreign income. My questions are: 1. Do I need to re-register for the self-assessement after this tax year? 2. What if I had missed the 5 April deadline for ending my self-employed status? 3. Do I need to re-register for the UTR if I had found another self-employed jon in the future? Thank you.

Hi Hankle,
1. As you still meet Self Assessment criteria for foreign income you do not need to re-register. You can continue to use the same UTR to file your Self Assessment tax return.
2. You can still update your record to cease your self employment after 5 April at: Stop being self-employed
3. You would need to register again as self-employed if this started again but would remain the same UTR.
Thank you.
