Hi all. I complete SA as I am both PAYE and self-employed. During this tax year my previous employer started involuntary liquidation. The last pay I actually received from them was for June 2023, however they have submitted pay returns to HMRC for £0.00 up until the end of September (these show on my tax account). The snag here is that one of these months it shows a minus figure for income tax (a refund), which I never received. Obviously this means the figures I am going to put into my SA will not match up with records HMRC hold. Do I just note this in the comments?

Hi,

You would declare the correct pay and tax figures but I would also contact the employer to send corrected details to HMRC.

Thank you.
