I filled out my Self Assessment this year and it calculated I was due a repayment. I have just received a letter saying I owe tax for this tax year with no breakdown of how this has been calculated. I was employed by one employer during this tax year (22/23) and I am taxed at income. Why have I not received a letter explaining the adjustment? If I click into my submitted self-assessment, it gives me the same calculation that I am owed a repayment.

Hi Wale Osikomaiya,
You may be receiving seperate calculations from your PAYE and SA records, which may not have been linked yet.
Please contact us by webchat or phone via:
Self Assessment: general enquiries
And we can review your records and overpayment.
Thank you.
