I submitted a SA tax return form 22-23 , which HMRC has confirmed it received on October 26 2023. It was a paper return because of one-off situation involving taxable income from a deceased estate , and taxable foreign income (from investments inherited from the same estate, as well as other such investments already owned ). It is now three months and HMRC have not calculated the tax due. The Low Income Tax Reform Group state that HMRC guarantee to provide the SA tax calculation by the time any tax is due. Does HMRC recognise and honour this guarantee?

Hi AshleyH576,
If your Self Assessment was received 26 October then yes it should be processed before the 31 January 2024 payment date.
If you still have not received the calculation then you will need to contact HMRC to review this for you.
