This year I could not work for 5 months as I was really poorly with Post Covid Syndrome (long covid). I'm self employed as a 'home help' and I did not claim any sick benefits. I was too ill to even think about claiming any sickness benefits. I do not earn enough money to reach the tax threshold. The elderly lady I work for decided she could afford to give me £100 a week as a 'good will gesture' to help me. As I was not actually working for this money, do I ignore this or do I include this on my self assessment as a form of income? Thank you.

Hi,
If the payment was for your self employment work then you will need to decalre this on your Self Assessment.
Thank you.
