I just create a Tax personal account and login. I don't know where and how to input my foreign rental income (my only income). Could anyone help?

Hi,

You will need to register for Self-Assessment if you haven't already done so at www :

Register for Self Assessment   .

Thank you.

But I remember I filled the SA1 online form. If this is the case, where could I file my foreign rental income?

Hi sevenilu,
Once you have your UTR , you can file your tax return online and declare the foreign rental income on there.
Please see guidance here:
Tax on foreign income
Thank you.

Hi, I have a UTR. Could you guide me step by step how to declare the foreign rental income? This is my first time to declare tax in UK, hope that you could help. Btw, I try to click the box "6 April 2022 to 5 April 2023" but it says something related PAYE which is not related to my foreign rental income.

To supplement, I don't have a self assessment box after login by UTR. I have "Latest news and updates", "6 April 2022 to 5 April 2023" , "6 April 2021 to 5 April 2022", "National Insurance" and "View your Annual Tax Summary" boxes in the first session and "Tax credits", "Child Benefit" and "Marriage Allowance" in the Benefits section and "State Pension" in the Pensions section

Hi,

If you are unable to see 22-23 as an option, you should contact our Self Assessment department who can check that a return has been requested.

They can also provide advice on filing the return.

If you click 'Ask HMRC Online' and ask to speak with an adviser, you will be put in the Webchat queue.

See link:

Self Assessment: general enquiries .

Thank you.
