Hello, I spent long holidays in the last tax year. In filling in the number of days in the UK in the SRT, is the days spent in Isle of man and Channel islands counted as days in the UK in SRT?

In addtion, I have used a overseas credit to pay for the hotel and restaurant bills in Guernsey. I'm filing on remittance basis. Is it counted as money remitted to UK, and therfore shall be filed in in the self assessment ?

Thanks. Since days in Isle of Mann & Channel island is not counted in days in the UK in SRT, does this means that my overseas credit card expenditure does not need to be reported as money remitted to UK in SA109. Is my understanding correct? Many thanks.

Hi,
No, Guernsey is classed as a foreign country for tax purposes.
Thank you.
