Hello, I have a query around the high income repayment for Child Benefit. We have 3 children and earn above the £60k threshold. 1, Is the child benefit issued at a fixed amount based on the number of children (with tax repaid) or is this amount given each month adjusted based on the annual income? 2, If its the former, I'd prefer not to pay this in a single hit at the end of the financial year, is it possible to pay this tax each month by modifying my tax code? The website suggests we could be entitled to £3,094.00 and the estimated tax to pay is £1,763.00 Thanks

Hi AdamV158,
Child Benefit is a fixed amount based on the number of children you are claiming for and the charge is then collected through your tax records based on your level of income.
If you want the Child Benefit included in your code to stop it being collected as a one off payment you will need to contact HMRC:

Thank you.
