Hello, I am going through the new tax legislation that will start in April 2025. Everywhere I read only mentions that the new tax rules apply to UK resident and non-domiciled individuals. May I ask if these apply at all to non-UK residents (who are British citizens)? As a followup question, are there any new rules that apply to non-UK residents who are British citizens? Thank you.

Hi
Detail on the Government’s intended changes to the rules for non-domiciled individuals set out here Technical note: Changes to the taxation of non-UK domiciled individuals

HMRC is unable to provide any further detail on how these changes will apply to an individual’s personal circumstances at this time.
