Self assessment 2024-2025 deadline

Hi, I'm going to be registering for self-employment in the 2024-25 tax year as my self employed earnings are over £1k but just wanted to confirm for my understanding is the deadline to register for self assessment the 5th October 2025 as I read articles that say 5th October 2024 but I assume thats for the 2023-24 tax year? You must register for self assessment by 5 October after the end of the tax year.
For example, if you need to complete a tax return for the tax year 6 April 2024 – 5 April 2025, you must register by 5 October 2025.
