Self assessment 2024-2025 deadline

Hi, I'm going to be registering for self-employment in the 2024-25 tax year as my self employed earnings are over £1k but just wanted to confirm for my understanding is the deadline to register for self assessment the 5th October 2025 as I read articles that say 5th October 2024 but I assume thats for the 2023-24 tax year? Many thanks in advance!
