Hi, my employer operates hybrid working, with set days 2 days office 3 days home. The employer does not have enough physical space to accommodate all employees in the office on the same day. There is some temporary flexibility to either switch days or temporary increase / decrease days in the office. The employer does not pay any working from home allowance. Work is done on company provided laptop, either at home or at the office. So the question is, can I claim the working from home tax allowance in 2022/2023 tax year? I read all the notes for this and I am completely conflicted. On one side I have temporary flexibility to choose, on the other side the employer does not have enough office space to accommodate all employees (i.e. no appropriate facilities are available). Hi
As your employer doesnt have the appropriate facilities to accomodate you, yes you can claim working from home expenses>
