Awaiting the UTR number

I applied online for the UTR number on July 1, 2024. While the HMRC website states that I should receive it by August 8, 2024, there is still no sign of it. I’ve tried to check the status online, but I am unable to track the progress of my application through my Government Gateway account. I also tried calling the HMRC Self Assessment helpline, but no agent was available. Please advise what I can do, thank you.
