Exchange rate on foreign income

Hi HMRC, if I have foreign salary received during 6 Apr 2023- 5 Apr 2024, can I use any date of the spot rate between 6 Apr 2023- 5 Apr 2024 to calcuate all salary received during this period? or I have to use the average rate / monthly rate to transfer the salary into pounds? Thanks!
