Just received a letter today asking me check if HMRC has paid me too much in Child Benefit. It is confusing in the extreme. All be it already 20 days late. My P60 states I earned 62,139.67 23/24. My tax was 12,284 paid. Total NET = 49,855.67. that is under 50k. But when I do the child tax calc it states before tax. Other sites with HMRC state NET. There is no consistency.
