I have submitted the self assessment tax return on 22 Jan (for tax year 2022-2023), the last part of tax return showed that there is an amount of tax to be paid by 31 Jan. I login the personal tax account, but it shows there is nothing to pay. (NB: this is the first time I submit tax return, so my payment on account balance is zero). Please advise whether the system will be update to include my submitted tax return, so that I can pay the correct amount accordingly. As the deadline of tax payment will be on 31 Jan, please reply ASAP so I can pay my tax before deadline. Thanks!

Hi YY WONG,
You would need to login to your online account that is linked to your Self Assessment record to show the balance due.
If the online calculation showed a balance due by 31 January 2024 then you would need to make the payment using your UTR with a letter K at the end.
All online payment options are available by selecting the 'pay now' button on our website here:
Pay your Self Assessment tax bill
If you are unable to login to the account linked to your Self Assessment then you will need to contact our online helpdesk for assistance:

Thank you.
