Two simple assessment tax calculation letters were sent covering the same tax year, both with a "Charge reference" but asking for different amounts. There is a sentence in each letter saying "This replaces any previous tax calculation that may have been issued for [tax-year]". There is another sentence saying "If you think there may be an error in this calculation, you have 60 days from the date of issue of this letter to contact us." On top of that the second letter is demanding £0.00. Should the older one just be ignored? Does the second one still need to be paid online and just £0.00 entered? What if it is suspected that a calculation is incorrect but it has been 60 days? Kind Regards.
