Hello, HMRC informed me that I needed to pay £300 PAYE tax for the 23/24 tax year after they completed my tax calculation. I have now paid this as a lump sum. How do I reflect the fact that I have paid the outstanding tax on my self assessment tax return, as I presume that when I input the tax I paid on my employment income, it will see that there was a £300 deficit? Many thanks,

Hi Hazel1939,
If you have received a P800 PAYE calculation for 2023/24 and paid the underpayment and now need to file a Self Assessment tax return for the same tax year then you will need to contact HMRC to review and update the Self Assessement account with the payment made.

Thank you.
