UTR not received since application on 14Aug2023 (more than 10 days)

Hi, I went online to register for self assessment on 14Aug2023, and after more than 3 weeks, I have not yet received the UTR. Is there anyway to check the status? I have received reference number for my online self-assessment registration but need the UTR to proceed. It is becoming near the deadline of 5Oct2023. What will happen if I still have not received the UTR by 5Oct2023?

If you contact our Self Assessment department we will be able to check if it has been processed, and if it hasn't we will be able to send a referral to the department who process the forms. See link: Self Assessment: general enquiries   . Thank you.

If the registration has been processed, there will be a Self Assessment section in the online account which will show your UTR.
You will need to contact our Self Assessment department so that we can send a referral regarding this as we would have expected this to be processed by now.
