I am due a repayment. Unfortunately, I no longer have access to the card that was used to make (some) of the payments. I partly made the initial payments through this no longer active card, and the rest via bank transfer. However, when I request a refund it seems to make it to the card I no longer use (despite me inputting bank account details). My accountant suggested writing to the HMRC, which I have done twice via recorded delivery - but I have not heard back. I work full time and although I have tried several times on the phone - I always have to give up given the waiting times. The live chat feature also never seems available. Can someone assist?
