Hi, I submitted a paper application for a UTR in October 2023 (before the deadline) and received a letter in November 2023 from HMRC requesting additional information. I promptly supplied the required details, but as of now, I haven't received my UTR number. I urgently need the UTR to complete my self-assessment at the earliest convenience to avoid any late penalties. Despite attempts with the HMRC webchat and hotline, I haven't been able to secure the necessary information. The webchat couldn't provide the required details, and the hotline failed to connect me with a real person. Could anyone please offer guidance on how to expedite obtaining my UTR number? I'm also seeking advice on the best way to seek assistance in my particular case. Thank you in advance for your help!
