2023/24 Self Assessment and Basis Period change

I have prepared a/cs for year ended 30/04/23 & for transition period 01/05/23 to 05/04/24. I can't find anywhere on HMRC site that confirms how I report the figures. There is provision for entering self employed figures but I don't know if this should comprise just the main period or both the main period and the transition period because there is also a box for a transition profit figure only. Have tried ringing help line without any luck. Any help much appreciated. Regards.
