Good after noon. I have a similar query, I have just filed my tax return and am getting confused. I am fully employed for my secondary job, and self employed under CIS for my primary job. My employment pays under PAYE, my CIS gets paid by my boss so overall all my tax for the year is paid. But each year I am due a rebate due to over paying. For the 23/24 tax year I was asked to pay an overpayment of £1216 on account which I done. So not it comes to me getting my tax rebate which say for instance is £2000. That £1216 does that get recognised and get added onto the £2000 that I am due back making my rebate £3216? I am also very confused on why my rebate has come in so low after my expenses and tax already paid
