Split Year in the new budget for non-dom

Hi I refer to the abolition of the non-dom status in the new budget and the 4 year non-dom rule. I have been claiming the non-dom remittance basis since 2021. In the tax year 2021-2022 I claimed the split year treatment because I came to the UK in October 2021. Will I complete 4 years of non-dom in 2025 or 2026 considering the split year in 2021-2022. In the new rules, is the split year taken as a complete tax year or will it be ignored. Thanks Ron

The new rules do not come into effect until next year on 6 April 2025.
Until then, you should continue to follow the existing rules.
