Hello, we are about to take on a holiday let in the Canarys following an inheritance. So I understand the tax implications, as a UK resident, I believe I have to pay tax in Spain at the non Dom tax rate, that bit is clear. I then declare the income here, pay the UK tax and then claim it back thanks to double taxation agreements. That's fairly clear but my question is can I claim expenses on the foreign property in my UK tax return please? As a non Dom I can't claim those expenses in Spain. Thanks

Hi,
Yes, you can claim relevant expenses for the rental. You can see guidance here:
Work out your rental income when you let property
The same principes apply for a foreign property as a UK property.
Thank you.
