Does HMRC have any guidance notes to assist self-employed or freelance digital nomads to understand their tax liabilities to the UK? Specifically, I need to understand if a self-employed UK citizen who has a digital nomad visa in an EU country, and resides full-time in that EU country, has any self-assessment liability to the UK? The work is all performed online from the EU country, but the clients who the work is being performed for, are all UK based. The income is in £ sterling, into a UK bank account. The organisation which provides the self-employed person with the work is in the UK, but the work itself is performed by the self-employed person online, from abroad.
