Payment Plan - Initial Lump Sum

I have successfully set up a payment plan however there were no details as to how the initial lump sum payment will be made. Will it be taken out of the bank account on which the direct debit is set up and if so, when I can I expect this payment to be taken? If it needs to be paid by another method, please confirm what this is.
