Dear HMRC Admin, I was working in London then moved aboard to take up a new job and I qualify for split tax year. Do I need to file my overseas income (salary, dividends etc.) during the overseas part of the tax year in my HMRC tax return? My understanding is that I only file for the UK part of the tax year while I am a UK tax resident, is that correct? Is there any special form / section I need to file for split tax year? Thank you!

Hi,
If you qualify for split year then you only report any foreign income for the UK part of the year.
Thank you.
