Hi HMRC, I am holding BNO visa. I have an employment of a Hong Kong company. The company does not have office and business in UK. I work from home in UK during the employment. I received wages under Hong Kong Payroll and Hong Kong bank account. Please advise should I report the income under Employment or foreign income in the Self Assessment? Thanks, Vicki

Hi,
As this income is only taxable in the UK, it should be shown in the employment section of the tax return.  You should claim a refund of any HK tax deducted from the income.  You can request a certificate of residence to support any repayment claim.
Thank you.
