Relocation for a change in Role

We have an employee that started on the 04th July 2022 and didn't live in the area. They are getting a promotion and are moving to the area - can we offer relocation on the new role, even though the timing is up for the old role ?

The relocation expenses would be in relation to a change in duties, or place of work, so if they meet the criteria then the date which they changes duties or place of work would be the date for the time limits.
