Help. 2022-2023 self assessment completed resulting in a change in my tax code of £3215 for 2023-2024 (so paying back £1286 at 40%). This should have been a change of £3839 (paying back £1535 at 40%). I get that bit. However I have just had a tax estimate for the 2024-2025 which includes a child benefit underpayment of the £3839 for 2023-2024 plus a further deduction of £5531. Does it appear that I’m repaying the 2022-2023 charge twice? My tax code is going down to 320L which means I am paying an £3748 in tax (40% of the 9370 tax code drop) I think the above makes sense?
