Hi, I need to submit a self assessment return for 2022/23. I have reactivated my account but it is not showing anything that will let me submit for the 2022/23 year, only for the current 2024/25 year. I have called the helpline a couple of times and they have said apparently i will receive a new UTR which will then let me submit, but I don't understand this and I'm not sure if this is correct. I have the HMRC app and haven't had any communication in there about this. I'm really worried as obviously I'm already over the date for filling. Can anyone give me advice on this, please? Thanks.

You will need to contact HMRC to check that a notice to file a 2022 to 2023 Self Assessment has been issued.
If not issued the option will not show on your online account.
