When filling the SA108 section 25, the amount of allowable costs (including the purchase price) is required. However, I cannot find out the exact purchase price of those sold shares in 2022-23 as they were purchased in 2006. What purchase price should I apply to determine the allowable costs? Also, what kinds of supporting documents should I provide to support the filling amount? Is the monthly bank statements sufficient? Or is a detailed transaction breakdown issued by the bank should be provided? Thank you!

Hi,

You will need to contact the company you bought them from or contact the London Stock Exchange to see if they hold details. Both may charge a nominal fee.

Thank you.

However, as it was nearly 20 years after the purchase, for an easier way, may I search the market price of such shares from Google as a reference?
