I requested a repayment via the online request form and filled in all my personal details so it is paid into my bank, however, the web page is saying the payee to be my accountant from last year and that it was issued on the 18th April 2024. Will the payment automatically go to the accountant or will it actually be paid into the bank account stated on the request repayment form? I submitted the return myself and told my old accountant to remove themselves from being my appointee but it hasn't changed so now I have no clue as to what bank the money will go into?

If provided correctly, the payment should have been issued to the account details you provided.
