Hello, As self-employed and contributing to a personal pension plan, can I deduct the fee charged by an IFA advising me on the pension against my self-employment income? If not, I would be grateful for the relevant legislation/information for my own records. Thank you.

Hi,

No. the pension is not a business expense and it is not essential to you carrying out your business.

Expenses if you're self-employed

Thank you.
