Refund

Hi, please can someone help, my return was submitted and received on 28/07/2023. There has been no progress, I have contacted HMRC directly and also my accountant has regarding the refund. We were told the same response, that the capture team were dealing with it. Surely there is a time limit on this. Many thanks.

If your Self Assessment tax return was submitted and received on 28 July 2023 but not yet processed a referral would be sent to the department who deal with these cases to have the tax return processed to your account and then any refund can be reviewed.

We are sorry but currently we are not able to provide a timescale for when the tax return will be processed. If you have an online account, once the return has been processed the details will be shown.
