If I have both employed and self-employed income, am I able to make separate claims for the use of home? The circumstances are as follows- Contracted to work from home as an employee on a full-time basis, and eligible for the £6 per week for the weeks worked. I am aware of the revised criteria for working from home claims that were introduced for 22/23. Work from home on a self-employed basis and would want to make a claim using simplified expenses for the number of hours spent per month on the self-employed work. The two activities are completely unrelated.

Hi Andrew Bingham,
Yes, as they are both different sources of income.
You can claim expenses for using your home for business purposes, separately from your employment expense.
 Expenses if you're self-employed
Thank you.
