I file self assessments and receive tax statements which I do not have an issue with. but somehow I have a personal tax account and a business tax account and have received totally different tax calculations and demands on the basis of a "simple Assessment". The simple assessment does not include the full range of income sources from my self assessment form and does not include the tax payments that i have made. Why do I have 2 conflicting tax accounts. If I access my business tax account, all is in order and all income sources and tax payments are recognised. If I access my personal tax account the records are nonsense.. Can I delete my personal tax account

Hi,

It sounds like you have linked your Self Assessment to your business account rather than your personal tax account so only PAYE income will appear on the personal account. You would need to open a new one to correctly link them all. You can see guidance here:

Personal tax account: sign in or set up

Thank you.
